Depicting the progress of the Allied troops from the South to the North of Italy, where, over six episodes we pass through Sicily, Naples, Rome, Florence, the Emilian Apennines and Porto Tolle. A 1950 Academy Awards nominee, this film is considered to be one of the most important Italian films for Italy’s collective memory.
